An opportunity has arisen for a Manager with excellent client-handling skills to join this international firm in their prominent Birmingham Indirect Tax team and become part of an award-winning, VAT department.
The role will suit an experienced Assistant Manager or Manager with a passion for providing excellent client service and high quality VAT advice and assistance across a wide range of industries and sectors. From large multinational corporations, to growing entrepreneurial businesses, the client base is as diverse as the team.
Key responsibilities and duties will include the following:
- Taking responsibility for the delivery of high quality VAT advice to a diverse portfolio of clients.
- Being the first point of contact for many clients.
- Supervision, training and mentoring of junior staff.
- Dealing with VAT related matters referred internally by the corporate tax team, audit, outsourced accounting and from other areas of the business.
- Being involved in business development and proposal activity.
- Ensuring all risk procedures are adhered to.
