This global financial services company has an opening for an Indirect Tax Consultant to join the business on a 12 month contract basis. The London tax department is comprised of a dynamic team of tax professionals managing tax matters and compliance processes, as well as supporting other internal functions and businesses across the network globally.
Reporting to the Tax Change lead, this role is responsible for the delivery of the tax teams requirements on process improvement and automation across all tax areas. Suitable individuals will have a proven track record of successful Tax Transformation and technology project delivery, particularly in the Indirect Tax space.
Key responsibilities in this role will include:
- Leading the testing process for Indirect taxes in the SAP implementation programme working with the project teams, tax colleagues and external advisors.
- Identifying tax process improvement and automation opportunities across Indirect Tax processes.
- Establishing strong relationships with key stakeholders
- Managing multiple tax technology and transformation projects to deliver desired outcomes within set timelines and budgets
- Working with the Tax Governance function to ensure appropriate governance and controls are introduced to meet risk and control frameworks
Ideal candidates for this role will have strong Indirect Tax accounting and compliance experience, strong delivery experience in tax technology and transformation projects and the ability to work effectively within a team and with external parties.
This role will be flexible regarding start date but July is preferred. A hybrid working arrangement will be on offer for this position.
