About the Role
Libraries and Learning Resources (LLR) provides high quality learning spaces, learning resources, academic skills development, and support services to the diverse students and staff carrying out teaching, learning and research at Nottingham Trent University.
We are looking for Information Assistants to join the customer service team within our busy Library on the Clifton Site.
Please note: This is a part-time annualised hours contract. Your working pattern will be reviewed annually and some changes may be made, however, your initial working hours/pattern will be:
Saturday 36 weeks- Thursday 5pm – 8pm, Friday 4pm – 7pm, Saturday 9am – 5pm
Summer Saturdays x 8 weeks- Saturdays 10am – 2pm.
Some weekend, Bank Holiday and University closure day working will also be required.
You’ll need to be self-motivated, outgoing, confident and in possession of a ‘can-do’ attitude. Your outstanding communication skills, determination to exceed customer expectations and positivity will ensure you fit right in with our award-winning team.
A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential, as is a flexible and proactive approach to work, a natural ability to empathise, and a genuine desire to advise, guide and help others.
