Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Business Management

£37,458 - £54,919 per annum (pro rata)

Full time/Permanent

The level of appointment would be determined by the selection panel following an interview.

About the Role

The Department of Management at Nottingham Business School is actively looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who can contribute to the delivery of our existing experiential learning and teaching success of various business modules in our UG & PG programmes. The ideal candidate should have a strong record of professional practice in Business Management, academic research, and/or scholarship activities.

This role is diverse, providing opportunities to contribute to a wide range of teaching and teaching-related activities across all levels. Responsibilities might include engaging in course management and development tasks, as well as working closely with colleagues across the department to support the school's personalisation strategy. Additionally, the role offers the chance to engage in research and scholarly activities, encouraging individuals to utilise their knowledge in designing academic context for students.

The department itself is a multi-disciplinary space that fosters a culture of continuous improvement and encourages individuals to innovate through their own practices. It presents a great career opportunity for early career researchers or experienced academics who possess a passion for joining a school and department that prioritises academic excellence, research quality, and scholarship impact as the foundation of its strategy.

Successful candidate should be able to demonstrate a strong desire for curriculum innovation, deep knowledge in the subject area, and the ability to collaborate effectively with others. The ability to develop their own resources and dedication to effective communication are also valued qualities.

For more details, please take a look at the role profile.  We'll still consider applications even if you don't meet every single one of the requirements, so don't be put off if you don't match them perfectly.

Interview date: w/c 11th March 2024
