An exciting opportunity beckons for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to excel within an established company, where you will have the opportunity to be involved with a wide range of challenges.

As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will utilize your proficiency to aid a wide spectrum of clients with solutions and projects. Your responsibilities include assisting the 2nd line service desk in resolving issues, collaborating with the Head of IT on project needs, crafting project plans, and addressing complex technical challenges in infrastructure and networking technologies.
The company, a pioneer in its specialisation within the Construction Industry, has been established for decades. As an award-winning entity, it has recently undergone changes in its IT department and is currently seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to join its team.
This opportunity allows you to broaden your experience in the IT sector and work with cutting-edge Microsoft technologies. You'll split your time between the company's office at Potters bar and working from home. Occasional overtime may be required as needed and travelling to other company offices, so having a car and a driving license is essential.
The ideal candidate will have experience in working as a Infrastructre Engineer over the last 2 years with a strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Windows Server, Active Directory and FortiGate firewalls. Also, with anti-virus and security including endpoint management.

The person:
- 2-3 years of experience in an Infrastructure Engineer role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Azure, Windows Server, Active Directory and FortiGate
- A solid grasp of VPN configuration, Group Policy, Security, and familiarity with WDS and MDT
- Full UK Driving license
The role involves:
- Assisting the 2nd line service desk with troubleshooting, incident diagnosis and being a mentor to them
- Participate in project requirements and develop project delivery plans
- Supervise, enhance, and provide assistance for operational services to meet SLA, performance, and availability objectives.
- Engage with Head of IT to explore new technologies and methodologies
