A fantastic opportunity to join the IT Services Team at South Bank Colleges.
We are looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer to join the IT Services team to develop, support, and maintain SBC’s IT Infrastructure Systems and related services, ensuring that these services and processes are efficient, effective, and meet defined and agreed service levels.
You will be joining us at an exciting time when we are undergoing a transformation of our data centre infrastructure and migration of services from one data center to another. As part of the IT services Team at SBC, you may be required to be onsite at any of our campuses when required. You may occasionally be asked to provide out-of-hours support in line with your responsibilities.
You'll be passionate about technology with the drive to champion the development of SBC’s infrastructure. You'll be flexible and adaptable, and comfortable with multiple work streams and changing priorities.
You will be a team player with great interpersonal skills and excellent analytical skills and provide 2nd/3rd line support to the help desk for issues and requests resolution.
Permanent - 36 hours a week
Please note: The successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
Skills & Experience
We’re seeking an Infrastructure Engineer with experience in a number of the following: build, monitoring and support of Windows Servers 2012/2016/2019, Microsoft Exchange, Office 365 suite, public and private cloud (Azure), Active Directory design, administration and disaster recovery, Group Policy design and administration, ADFS, Azure SSO , SQL 2012/2014/2016, SharePoint, WSUS, SCCM, Intune, SQL 2012/2014/2016, VMWare ESX 6, VDI, SANs and hyper-converged storage management and good troubleshooting and Powershell scripting skills.
