Clearance: DV (Enhanced) required prior to work starting
About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled Linux Infrastructure Engineer to join our team on a 6-month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing Linux-based infrastructure to sustain and decommission two key IT platforms consisting of Cisco FlexPod CVD patterns. This role requires working on task packages allocated on a 10-week cadence from a backlog of deliverables and aligned with organizational-wide PI planning cadences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and sustain Linux-based infrastructure.
- Decommission key IT platforms as required.
- Align tasks with organizational PI planning cadences.
- Ensure system security and efficiency.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with Redhat and Debian operating systems.
- Proficiency with container operating systems and technologies (K8S, K3S, EKS, AKS, GKS).
- Knowledge of F5, Traefik, Service Mesh, Consul, and Istio.
- Familiarity with NIFI, Kafka, Active Directory (AD), DNS management, Group Policy, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Identity and Access Management (IAM), and system hardening techniques.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in managing Linux-based infrastructure.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a structured task package allocation system.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
