About the role

We’re looking for an Infrastructure Manager to join our Technology Services directorate. This is a fixed term contract role for 12 months.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the technical team that provides and supports the Cloud and End User computing requirements for the British Medical Association and its operating companies so that they may achieve their business objectives. They will manage a full set of cloud and end user computing services and manage platform infrastructures. They will also line manage and be responsible for the performance of a small team.

This is a hybrid role and will involve a mix of working from home and at BMA House in Central London.

To be successful as an Infrastructure Manager you'll have:

  • Experience and a proven track record in managing end user computer and cloud-based infrastructure to support medium and large-scale business solutions in partnership with a range of business and technical owners
  • Previous experience in an infrastructure management role
  • Relevant technical qualifications in Microsoft technologies, cloud-based technologies
  • Good understanding of cloud based and hybrid infrastructure
  • Proven experience in managing, organising and coordinating small teams
  • Ability to co-ordinate activities and collaborate with other teams and third parties to complete tasks
  • Project Management skills
  • Ability to build good relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
