Inhouse Tax Manager

We are seeking a Tax Manager for a senior role working in on of the UK largest clients. The successful applicant will demonstrate extensive knowledge in tax management and a proven ability to lead on projects, processes and with internal/external relationships.

Our client is a leading employer in the industrial and manufacturing sector. They are a large-scale operation based in Newport and across the UK, who prioritise innovative solutions and the continuous development of their products and services.

Description

• Lead the tax department in all tax-related activities.
• Ensure compliance with local and international tax laws and regulations.
• Manage tax planning strategies to optimise tax efficiency.
• Supervise the preparation of tax returns and reports.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Develop and maintain relationships with tax authorities and external auditors.
• Train and mentor junior staff in the department.
• Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and communicate its implications to the team.

Profile

A successful Tax Manager should have:

• A strong educational background in Tax, bring the combined blend of experience and qualification (ATT, CTA, ACCA, ACA)
• Extensive knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
• Proven experience in a tax management role
• Exceptional leadership abilities and team management skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Great communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Offer

• A competitive salary range of £70,000 - £80,000 per annum.
• Additional benefits including a company car (£6,100), bonus scheme (12.5%), pension plan (6% er), and other blue-chip benefits.

• Role is available as 4 or 5 days working week.
