Role:
- In the role of Injection Moulding Setter, you will be required to carry out tool changes and set machines for production runs.
- As Injection Moulding Setter you will complete daily machine safety checks on each shift using relevant check sheet.
- The successful Injection Moulding Setter will strive to achieve standard cycle times and optimum processing parameters.
- Ensure correct procedures are followed during the machine start-up / shut down process.
- Answering machine alarms immediately and promptly carry out the necessary action required on machine breakdowns to minimise the machine downtime.
- Submit samples to mouldshop quality department for first off approval at the start of every batch run.
- Liaise with the toolroom and maintenance departments to address any tooling and machine issues.
- Liaise with the mouldshop production planner and mouldshop supervisor.
- Ensure all downtime and scrap is recorded on the production monitoring system.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities.
- Comply with the health & safety policy and observe all the safety rules to ensure personal safety and the safety of others.
Experience Requirements:
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience within Injection Moulding manufacturing
* Industry recognised Injection Moulding qualifications an advantage
* Positive ‘can-do’ attitude is a must
* Good communication skills
* Strong problem-solving skills
* Ability to work to own initiative
