Inside Sales Engineer

Deerfoot IT Recruitment is looking for an Inside Sales Engineer to join our client's collaborative team in Cowes, on the Isle of Wight. This hybrid role comes with a salary of £40,000 to £45,000 and excellent benefits.

As a key contributor reporting to the Sales and Service Manager, your role is instrumental in supporting the global sales team in providing essential guidance to customers throughout the sales cycle. Your primary objective is to facilitate the seamless adoption of company software solutions to improve the safety and efficiency of customers' production plants. The Inside Sales Engineer will work 2 days per week on-site, so candidates must live within a commutable distance.

To give you an idea of how this Inside Sales Engineer role would look and feel, here are some areas you can expect to work in:

• Support the global client sales organization to generate and close sales opportunities with global customers
• Provide product information in response to customer inquiries, matching customer requirements to proposed solutions
• Deliver compelling presentations and demonstrations during sales engagements or to support marketing activities
• Create proposals for the development and deployment of customer-specific software solutions

The successful Inside Sales Engineer applicant will have degree-level technical qualifications in engineering or software-related subjects. Additional requirements include:

• Proven work experience in the sales of process automation or software solutions
• Technical background of process industry or software technologies
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• The ability to build relationships across all levels of the sales channels and customers
• Willingness and ability for international travel
