Our client is seeking a Dispute Resolution Lawyer to join their Margate, Kent offices on a Hybrid working basis.
Applications from all-rounders will be particularly welcome. You will be based at the firm's Margate office, and they expect you will regularly represent clients in disputes involving:
• Property law including landlord and tenant
• Employment law
• Probate and will disputes
• Contracts
• Boundary disputes, and
• General commercial litigation.
The Ideal candidate
• The ideal candidate will be a solicitor or chartered legal executive with at least three years of post-qualification experience.
• You will have a sound knowledge of litigation processes and the role will involve frequently issuing court proceedings and attending court. My client will expect you to assist with the investigation and litigation of complex cases and have experience of drafting court documents, witness statements and instructions to experts.
• The successful candidate will possess excellent client care and interpersonal skills and operate with integrity, demonstrating empathy and intuition.
Benefits and working hours.
• Working from home is often effective and my client believes in its benefits, so have a permanent and occasional working from home policy. You would be welcome to propose up to 40% home working.
• The position is either full or part-time and will be permanent.
• If you work full time your hours will be Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm
• You may be considering relocating to the East Kent coast or one of the inland towns and villages. If so, my client will pay the buying and selling conveyancing fees of a successful candidate and assist with introductions to their extensive network of local estate agents.
• The local area has a wide range of excellent schools that the firm can tell you about if you have school-age children.
• If you would be moving away from the capital to take up the post, Margate is on the high-speed train line to London.
