Insolvency Solicitor

We are seeking an ambitious Insolvency Solicitor to join a thriving Insolvency department based in Manchester. The successful candidate will handle a diverse caseload, providing expert advice on insolvency matters to a range of clients.

Our client is a well-established national law firm boasting a considerable workforce. They have a substantial client base and offer services across multiple sectors.

The team offers practical, specialist advice to insolvency practitioners, businesses, individuals, directors, banks and asset-based lenders and other stakeholders in both contentious and non-contentious areas of restructuring and insolvency. The team prides itself on being able to offer clear and concise legal advice, providing tailored guidance that is suited to the unique requirements of their clients.

The team also advises insolvency practitioners, lenders, litigation funders, borrowers, directors, distressed investors and other relevant organisations and individuals on their rights and obligations in respect of both transactional and contentious work in all areas of corporate and personal insolvency.

Description

As an Insolvency Solicitor you will deal with a range of contentious and non-contentious insolvency issues. Including

• Transactional matters (pre-packs, administrations, CVAs, restructuring plans, cross-border restructurings), contentious (actions against or defending former directors and antecedent transactions under the Insolvency Act 1986), enforcement and general advisory work
• Handle a diverse caseload, managing all aspects from inception to completion.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, ensuring a high level of customer service.
• Participate in business development activities, contributing to the growth of the firm.
• Stay updated on legal developments within the insolvency sector.

Profile

A successful Insolvency Solicitor should have:

• 1-6 PQE in Insolvency work.
• Excellent communication and client management skills.
• A detail-oriented approach with a strong ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Strong team-working skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
