At Pivot we believe children deserve better. In our academies we teach and support children and young people from Key Stages 1 – 4 who have been excluded from school, for whom mainstream education is simply not working, or those with an EHCP who require a specialist placement. Every day our teams do incredible work, making a huge difference to some of the most complex and challenging children, many of whom come to us with traumatic backgrounds.
Our new LINKS programme provides education for learners with Emotional School Based Avoidance (EBSA). We ensure learners who struggle to attend school because of anxieties or emotional difficulties associated with their special educational needs and disabilities, receive an education, as is every child’s right. We support these learners with both on and offsite experiences to support them in accessing education, to engage with academic and pastoral activities and to achieve qualifications.
Our aim within LINKS is to provide:
Learning
Inclusion
Nurture
Knowledge
Social Mobility
To join our LINKS team, we are seeking a resilient and dedicated Instructor who has experience of working with young people with SEMH needs.
You will work closely with the LINKS team to assist in promoting a healthy, nurturing and supportive learning environment, ensuring the best outcomes for our learners. As an Instructor, you will need to be able to build strong relationships with these learners and use intuitive skills to uncover reasons for challenging behaviours whilst remaining calm in your approach. The ideal candidate will have experience working with learners with ASC.
Working at Pivot will give you a real chance to make a difference and we truly believe you will find working here a rewarding experience.
