Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, with 1 day work from home after probation
Are you an experienced Insurance Claims Review Specialist looking for your next challenge? We have an exciting opportunity in Warrington for a proactive individual to join our team and take on the role of Insurance Claims Review Specialist.
Main Responsibility:
As an Insurance Claims Review Specialist, your main responsibility will be to proactively review insurance policies and claims. You will work within authority on claims of varied technical complexity, determining liability and quantum, securing information, and settling claims utilising claims policies and guidelines relevant to the industry.
Key Accountabilities:
- Recognise issues with policy coverages and escalate issues as needed.
- Set tasks, reserves, and authorise payment within the scope of authority, settling claims in the most cost-effective and timely manner.
- Participate in performing investigations and evaluating claims through contact with solicitors, brokers, insureds, claimants, witnesses, and experts.
- Identify and escalate serious claim developments to management efficiently and effectively.
- Recognise the need for negotiation, participate in planning strategy, and negotiate within the scope of authority.
- Responsible for input of data that accurately reflects claim circumstances and other information important to our business outcomes.
- Keep current on relevant issues, regulations, and trends.
- Comply with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
Skills Required:
- Knowledge of claims and insurance industry theories and practices is desirable.
- Ability to maintain an open mind and be responsive to change.
- Clear analytical skills.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and adhere to deadlines.
- Regular reviews of Insurance principles and guidance.
- Competently use agreed processes/methods to achieve objectives.
- Able to interact and communicate with team members and senior management in a respectful manner.
- Ability to work independently with good time management skills.
