Insurance Team Leader
Salary 35,000 - 38,000
Mondays to Fridays 09.00 - 17.00/Hybrid working model

The role
This is an opportunity for an experienced personal Lines Handler looking to progress into an exciting Team Leader role within an upbeat, friendly and professional organisation based within Long Eaton.
You will be accountable for the co-ordination and development of the Personal Lines Department. Ensuring the department adheres with all compliance requirements. Providing an end to end service to existing personal lines customers and potential new customers. The personal lines policies to be dealt with include Household, Motor, Motor Breakdown, Motorcycle, Travel, Caravan, and all other Personal Insurance Risks
Duties include:
- Provide regular feedback and coaching to all Personal Lines staff to encourage team working and conduct 1:1 reviews with all reports as and when appropriate
- Ensure the team meets 21 day renewal target
- Carry out annual appraisals with all team members in line with Company procedure
- Answer and respond to incoming telephone calls, emails, faxes and allocated post
- Respond to clients at the counter and deal with their enquiries
- Make records of all conversations with customers and/or insurers or other relevant business contacts in accordance with the firms procedures
- Provide new business quotations and advice for Personal Lines and complete mid term adjustments
- Draw client's attention to all information pertinent to their insurance, including duty of disclosure, warranties, and onerous conditions etc.
- Place accepted quotations with the relevant insurer and complete all associated paperwork, computer processes and records
- Take instructions from and amend client's policies and complete all associated paperwork, computer processes and records
- Complete renewals and complete all associated paperwork within agreed service standards
- Check thoroughly all client documentation prior to dispatch and correct as required
- Ensure all processes follow the firm's Practices and Procedures manual
- Control your own diary
- Debt control of own allocated book of business
Experience required:
- Knowledge of the key covers and significant terms and conditions of all policies that are recommended
- Knowledge of the Personal insurance markets
- Understanding FCA guidelines
- Data Protection
- Money Laundering
- Bribery & Corruption
- Treating Customers Fairly (TCF)
