Integration Engineer

Our client is a a premier provider of advanced solutions is seeking an Integration Engineer and Installation & Commissioning Supervisor to join their growing team.

The essence of this role is to ensure that hardware equipment qualifications meet exacting standards and to oversee the installation and commissioning teams, guaranteeing that fire systems are implemented in strict adherence to relevant codes and standards. The successful candidate will be instrumental in delivering projects that meet the highest quality and safety benchmarks efficiently, contributing to the overarching project goals.

Reporting initially to the Integration Manager for equipment qualification and platform testing, the role will transition to the Installation & Commissioning Manager post-qualification. The role involves managing the daily operations of the project site engineers, ensuring the seamless progression of installation and commissioning activities.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborating with the Qualification Team across various locations, including international assignments.
• Assisting in the production of critical documentation and the execution of equipment testing at certified laboratories.
• Leading product development for bespoke equipment, including programming.
• Promoting a culture of continuous improvement in quality, health, safety, and environmental practices.
• Providing governance and leadership to installation and commissioning teams to ensure project delivery within scope, budget, and schedule.
• Managing documentation and coordinating site meetings and safety briefings.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Level 3 FireQual and SSSTS certification.
• A minimum of 10 years' experience in the fire alarm sector and 5 years in a supervisory capacity.
• Exceptional organisational, team management, communication, and customer care skills.
• A comprehensive understanding of engineering procedures, codes, and standards.
• A proactive commitment to professional development to meet current and future legislative demands.
• A current driving licence and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Additional qualifications include fire alarm panel manufacturer training, ECS scheme qualification, and appropriate health and safety training.
