Our client, a large government customer, are seeking a Trials Integration Engineer to join their team. The role is based in Bristol and is mostly remote based, with travel to other UK sites. The role requires SC clearance and candidates must be sole UK nationals.
Requirements are scheduled to run until December 2024 and offer a rate up to £530/day.
IR35 STATUS: Inside IR35. Our client has indicated that they intend to operate the engagement as Inside IR35. Candidates would be required to operate through an umbrella company on this engagement. The rates above represent rate payable to the umbrella co.

Brief Team Description
Working on Systems of Systems (SoS) with complex safety cases which must address both the inherent hazards of the individual platforms and the functional hazards of multiple systems working together to deliver an engagement capability.
Main Responsibilities
- Maintain safety case, hazard log and S&EMP.
- Conduct Annual Reviews of Safety Documentation.
- Manage open safety issues.
- Review and update Deployment Safety Statements.
- Uplift safety case to support contingent operations.
- Review Engineering modifications for Safety Impact and reflect in Safety Case.
- Develop and maintain safety strategy, and P&EMP.
- Develop coherent Safety requirements across Systems of Systems (SoS).
- Adhoc support to emergent UCR as and when required.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Meets Success Profile for ‘Professional II Safety Engineer with strengths in: Communicating and Influencing; Complies with principles of System; Applies Knowledge and complies with Safety; Communicating and Influencing.
- Prior experience of delivering safety artifacts for a complex programme.
- Prior experience managing technical elements of contractor delivery.
- Security Clearance - minimum of Security Check.
- UK Drivers Licence.
- Working Knowledge of GEAR processes and requirements.
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Prior technical knowledge or experience of command and control systems, communications systems.
- Software or Electronic Engineering background.
Other Information
- Working from Home is acceptable for this role, but the job holder would be expected to regularly touch base at Bristol office. Approach to home working and regularity of in-face interactions to be agreed with Direct Manager.
- The suppliers for several systems are foreign contractors. The post holder must be comfortable working and leading in a multi-cultural environment, adjusting ways of working and communication style to get the best from a diverse team.
- Travel to witness trials, collate safety related evidence and attend meetings may occasionally be required with typical locations including: Portsmouth, Bristol, Malvern and Belfast.

Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK, this role will not offer Visa sponsorship. Tier 2 – General visas cannot be accepted.
