Job description

Exterior Integration EngineerJob Description * Work with the wider Body Exterior functional engineering teams to ensure that product development deliverables and targets are met and maintained. * Track the key open items and develop action plans in collaboration with the functional engineering areas and their respective x-functional teams. Actively support program sourcing strategies in line with Purchasing, Finance and Program timing needs. * Support the Finance (cost) and weight work streams and develop and communicate delivery/recovery plans, considering tough choices, within Program budgets & constraints initiate and maintain suitable tracking documents. * Support engineering deliverables for both Quality & Attribute Engineering. Support timing tracking exercises workstreams to ensure targets are met on time. * Actively support and lead x-functional issue resolution teams. Co-ordinate, schedule and document meeting outcomes as required.Skills Required: * Project management and negotiation skills. * Excellent PC skills fully competent in Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word and other MS Office 365 tools. * Be able to work on multiple priorities, both independently and/or collaboratively. * Be an effective communicator with the ability to work successfully with multiple cross-functional stakeholders, including senior levels and with external partners. * Strong interpersonal skills, Flexible with a positive can-do attitude, willing to support the team as well as individual tasks.Skills Preferred: * Good understanding of Microsoft SharePoint. * Ability to adapt to new technologies and processes, finding the key critical paths through each. * Understanding of Program Management reporting fundamentals, such as escalation, reporting forums and gateways. * Knowledge of vehicle Bill of Material tracking and reporting. * Understanding Teamcenter, BoM tools, Jira and other Project Management tools.Experience Required: * Strong experience & knowledge within automotive or engineering experience in PD. * Knowledge of Body Exterior Engineering commodities and an awareness of other vehicle area requirements (e.g. Interior, EESE, Chassis, Attributes). * Experience of managing engineering deliverables through program gateways. * Familiarity with global releasing process. * Experienced/confident in reviewing/presenting to colleagues and management.Experience Preferred: * D&R experience, user of product development process, tools and systems. * Previous x-functional Integration experience. * Strong delivery working on a hybrid working environment.Education Required: * Technical training / background is essential, however experience is often as valuable as a formal education.Education Preferred: * Degree in Automotive Engineering or related field.If you have any of the above knowledge and experience, and are interested in hearing more about the opportunities, please apply now.*Please note: Due to the high level of applicants, only successful candidates will be contacted*Eligibility: Due to working on behalf of our client, unfortunately if you require sponsorship for a visa to work in the UK your application will be automatically declined**NO AGENCY CALLING
