Your new role
As an Intelligence Manager, you will act as the lead intelligence staff member in Cyber Security and Information Rights (CSIR) responsible for intelligence requirements management, definition, monitoring and the development and operation of our security intelligence cycle to a defined policy.

What you’ll be leading on
Work within the CSIR team to Head of Security Strategy and Intelligence.
Develop a security intelligence cycle and intelligence handling model aligned to UK standards that allows clear definition of intelligence needs and processes for collection, processing, dissemination and provision of supporting advice to NH Directorates.
Develop and control a NH-wide intelligence requirements process, eliciting the intelligence demand from all NH Directorates, projects and other groupings, including identified and approved supply chain partners.
Develop a robust mechanism to regularly communicate and amplify threat intelligence to business areas across NH and approved supply partners, gathering feedback and adapting requirements and products as needed.
Ensure intelligence products meet customers’ demand, are assured and validated, and delivered effectively within resources.
Foster external intelligence relationships x-HMG, the National Technical Authorities and Law Enforcement as appropriate, accessing a wider threat information base and further contextualising and fusing intelligence product as required. This must include development of appropriate sharing agreements. A community of interest with supply partners will also be developed and maintained.
Produce bespoke intelligence products supporting NH requirements as directed by Head of Security Strategy & Intelligence.
Review and update NH intelligence policy ensuring compliance with UK law and compliance frameworks.
Line manage up to 3 x analysts supporting wider activities such as resilience wargames, incident tabletop exercises and security investigations.
Provide intelligence and operational support to security incidents, operational incidents and planning, and investigations. This will require working to other leads and providing matrix support of analysts managing their outputs accordingly.
To be successful
An intelligence and security professional with knowledge and experience of working in complex organisations.
An understanding of intelligence cycle / handling models and an ability to translate best practice into National Highways.
Ability to work across the business to best serve its needs and to deliver effective intelligence support through cost-effective means.
Experience of security operations and investigations, supporting response and recovery through provision of intelligence and as an adviser.
Awareness of the principal security-related frameworks such as ISO270001; National Institute of Standards and Technology Cyber Security Framework; the NCSC Cyber Assessment Framework; Government Functional Standard 007: Security.
Awareness of Government Security Group and National Technical Authorities and the ability to work closely with Department for Transport security and a broader peer network.
