Intercept Operations is a key part of the NCA’s Intelligence Directorate.
Operating within the Investigatory Powers Act 2016 Intercept Operations officers target and intercept criminal communications. Officers apply their specialist skills to analyse the content of communications, identifying tactical and strategic intelligence which drives the Agency’s response.
Working collaboratively with NCA Investigations, other intelligence departments, UKIC and broader Law Enforcement partners, Intercept Operations are at the forefront of NCA operations tackling Serious and Organised Crime.
Roles based in London will receive an additional London Weighting of £3,847. This role attracts a 20% shift allowance uplift, and Special Duties Payment of £2,000 (reviewed annually).
This role attracts a SPOT Rate salary. SPOT Rate offers a progressive increase in pay to reflect the skills and experience of the officer. The starting SPOT Rate is SPOT Rate 1 £45,057. Progression to a higher spot rate is only achievable once in post. The SPOT Rate range for this role includes SPOT Rate 2 £48,798.
A Civil Service Pension with an average employer contribution of 27%
