Interim Accountant

We are currently working with an incredible global company who specialise in Legal Services. They are seeking an exceptional Accountant who has experience working in an inhouse accounting role. They need someone who is well versed in AP, GL Accounting, Consolidation, statutory audits, UK GAAP, transactional accounting processes, analysis, preparing reports, management accounts, etc. This is an amazing opportunity to join an expanding business, as they enter a new phase of growth!!

JOB TITLE: Accountant

COMPANY: Professional Services

CONTRACT: Interim / Temporary - 6 months initially, with potential to be extended!!

START: ASAP

LOCATION: Central London

RATE: Up to £300 p/day (with potential flex upwards for the right candidate with the right experience)

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT EXCLUSIVE TO:

• Prepare monthly management accounts for multiple legal entities, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements.
• Provide accounting to support to finance operations team.
• Work closely with US parent finance team to report monthly results.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (VAT, PAYE, ONS, Audit)
• Provide ad-hoc reports and analysis as required.
• Assist with the preparation of statutory accounts and tax returns.
• Provide line management for one Accounts Payable person and manage weekly/monthly payment processes.
• Maintain financial control environment.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

• Relevant accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is advantageous.
• Demonstrable experience in management accounting within a multi-currency environment, Working with multiple entities or multiple geographies.
• Familiarity with Microsoft F&O is highly desirable, or Netsuite, Oracle or SAP
• Strong UK GAAP knowledge
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work to tight deadlines.
• Experience of working in a hybrid work environment is highly desirable.
