MCS Group is delighted to be assisting a key client based in Belfast source an interim Assistant Accountant - Hybrid.
Our client is a market leader in the Technology sector and is looking for an enthusiastic & talented Assistant Accountant to join their Finance time on a temporary basis.
Minimum 6 Months contract.
Early Friday Finish
Competitive salary & retention bonus paid on completion of the contract.
As Interim Assistant Accountant you will responsible for:
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts — including but not limited to payroll journals, prepayment journals; fixed asset close
- Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations in various foreign currencies
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly finance reports
- Weekly Cash Reporting, Cash Forecasting and Bank reconciliations in various currencies
- Preparation of monthly VAT Returns
- Stock reconciliations and assisting in stock control and reporting
- Assisting in sales and margin reporting
- Liaising with foreign payroll bureaus
- Process monthly employee expense claim and credit card claim process
- Process Intercompany invoices; reconciliations and payment of intercompany balance
- Provide support to Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions when required
Essential Criteria:
•Third level education or IATI qualified
•Working towards an accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ICAI)
18 months accounting experience within a similar role
•Management accounts prep experience
•Involvement in either AP or AR function
