Interim Finance Manager Potential Permanent Opportunity

REED FINANCE are working alongside a reputable and established manufacturing company going through a sustained period of growth.  Our client is looking to take on an Interim Finance Manager to help continue this growth and take the company forward even more. There is potential for this to become a permanent position.

The role is focused on the timely and accurate production of the management accounts pack and all associated activities, adding value and insight into the company reporting but will also be involved in ensuring control and overseeing the financial activities within the business.

You will oversee the reporting and financial controls and processes in the company, ensuring accuracy and control in all related financial activities. You will support the Group Head of Finance with FP&A activities.

This role will be ideal for someone who wants the responsibility and ownership of being the ‘go to’ person in Finance for the business and understands what it takes to produce month end reporting that adds value and insight to leadership and the wider group.

Duties & responsibilities

• Monthly journal preparation and posting
• Manage the costing of stock values
• Cashflow reporting and support on cash management
• Maintain Xero – new customers/creditors/products/users
• Creation of monthly management accounts (profit and loss, gross margin analysis, balance sheet) providing relevant commentary and analysis
• Explanation of variances from forecast for all gross margin and overhead categories
• Monthly reconciliation of nominal ledger control accounts
• Helping to ensure that the company is continuously audit ready and involvement in audit activities and the year-end preparation
• Supporting with forecasts and budgeting activities
• Management of Finance Assistant
• Monthly reconciliation of transactions along with providing detailed cost analysis
• Calculation of payroll and salary reporting
• Managing and submission of VAT returns
