Are you an immediately available ACA qualified accountant with Big 4/Top 10 background seeking a challenging role?
This role is part of a small team responsible for preparing high quality Group financial information for internal and external stakeholders. This includes not only producing reports that are timely, accurate, make sense, easy to understand, comply with the relevant accounting standards and are well presented, but also ensuring we receive high quality information from the businesses, markets and regions in an efficient and consistent manner.
This role focuses on month end actuals and forecasting and supports senior leaders and other teams around the Group.
- Produce and review content for the production of the Group’s management accounts and other ExCo and Board financial reports to support regular business reviews, for example amongst other things, price volume analysis, gross margin analysis, annual incentive accruals and cost allocations
- As one of the Group’s OneStream consolidation and planning system administrators, the role holder will be responsible for key processes in the preparation of month end and forecasting
- Work collaboratively across the team to ensure business submissions are understood and prepare insightful analysis highlighting risks and opportunities
- Support the Head of Group Reporting and Insight to improve the quality and accuracy of long-term strategic plans, budgets and forecasts
- Prepare financial models and calculations as necessary (including the goodwill impairment review, fair value of the Group’s multiple share-based payment arrangements (both equity-settled and cash-settled) in accordance with IFRS 2 and FRS 102 and ensure they are accounted for properly)
External reporting
- Help prepare the consolidated Group accounts in accordance with IFRS and UK Companies Act for inclusion in the Group’s Annual Report and Half Yearly Report
- Review / prepare plc and UK subsidiaries’ accounts in accordance with FRS 102 and Companies Act
- Liaise with the external auditors to ensure they have all the information they need to successfully complete the year end audit and half year review
- Contribute to and conduct quality control and consistency reviews of the Group’s Annual Report and Half Yearly Report, preliminary announcement, results presentations, trading updates, scripts and back-pockets
- Review the overseas subsidiaries’ statutory accounts to ensure they make sense and reconcile to the monthly submissions to Group
The role is initially 3-6 months with an immediate start. 2 days a week in central London office with a fantastic working environment and the potential to extend the position. The role is inside IR35 and is £550-£650 per day.
