Job Description
- Drive year end audit - work as facilitator / project manager between auditors and financial accountants (ability to build relationships to get things done is key)
- Support business in preparation for audit including drafting accounts and tax computations. Draft financial statements for audit where necessary
- Finalise / review year-end consolidation ahead of audit planning
- Co-ordinate the corporation tax work and review prior years
- Set up monthly group consolidation and group reporting process including simplification of monthly inter-company reconciliations - establish monthly process
- Support CFO and FCs in development of new group reporting reports / board packs
- Support CFO in preparation of presentation material for financial stakeholders
- Support CFO on ad-hoc analysis, reviews, tax compliance reviews
The Successful Applicant
A successful Interim Group Accountant should have:
- Strong financial accounting experience (consolidations / solid 'double entry' / accounting basics)
- Experience in supporting CFOs on preparation of material (e.g. forecasts, analysis) for stakeholder presentations (e.g. fund raising) an advantage
- Ability to work with and influence others across the business
- Ability to question & challenge - attention to detail
- Ability to work independently (e.g. hit ground running)
- Enthusiastic / driven / ability to get things done
- Ability to hit deadlines
