A Local Authority currently have a need for an Interim Group Finance Manager - Strategic Finance
A Qualified Accountant with extensive Local Government experience in MTFS, Council tax, and Government funding
Role
- MTFS - coordinates all documentation including council tax report for cabinet / Council; updates MTFS for assumptions relating to government funding, council tax, business rates; collates proposed savings; updates position for the finance settlement.
- Transfers outcome of MTFS into the base budget and coordinates budget load
- Maintains a range of corporate budgets including contingency, inflation etc. Calculates pay award and distributes funding of inflation.
- Collection fund accounting
- Maintains the council's reserves.
