Job Title: Interim Group Financial Accountant
Location: Peterborough, Cambridgeshire
Working Arrangement: Hybrid working - 2 days onsite/3 days remote
Duration: Interim assignment for 8 months, possibility of extension

We are seeking a skilled and confident individual with a strong understanding of IFRS, and consolidation experience. This varied technical role is ideal for professionals seeking interim assignments, who excel in period of change within a business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the month-end consolidation process
- Liaise with business teams to ensure timely submission of accurate data
- Review submissions and address any anomalies
- Manage central entities and ensure accurate monthly results
- Analyse movements outside of operating profit or working capital
- Consolidate cashflow forecasts for divisions and explain variances
- Review year-end submissions, including statutory accounts
- Review journals and balance sheet reconciliations
- Provide back-office support for the Treasury team
- Mentor an Assistant Accountant to support career development
- Assist the Finance team on various projects including budgets/forecasts, ad hoc analysis, system implementations, and financial control improvements
Requirements:
- ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualification or close to qualifying
- Experience in public practice or previous group accounting roles
- Strong knowledge of IFRS
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities
