Our client has been a mainstay in the St Neots area and they are now looking for a qualified individual to join their management team in a part-time Financial Controller position.
This role will have oversight of a small accounts team and duties will include
- Production of management accounts in a timely fashion
- Assisting departmental managers with budget setting and production
- Cashflow management and forecasting
- Cost analysis
- WIP review
- VAT and CIS returns
- Working closely with Directors and looking at ways to improve systems and processes as appropriate
- Production of statutory accounts and liaison with external accountants for any queries
- Ad hoc project work and analysis
Working circa 25 hours per week, this role will suit a post-qualified Accountant with strong experience of an all round finance role within an SME environment.
Strong experience of Excel is a prerequisite and exposure to Sage would be a distinct advantage.
Having worked in a contract environment would be advantageous as would exposure to the manufacturing or construction sectors, although this is not a deal breaker.
This will be a site-based role in St Neots and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to be part of a business that has a history of staff retention and an excellent product.
