Financial Controller

Peterborough area 

Site based with some flexibility after 6 months

Broster Buchanan have been engaged to find a Financial Controller for a UK subsidiary of an international company, based on the outskirts of Peterborough.

You will be working alongside a small and passionate team that like to work hard whilst having fun.

Whilst you will have support on transactional processing, this is a broad role requiring a hands on approach  managing a wide range of accounting duties, whilst supporting the business from a business partnering angle.
Key duties

• Support the production of  management accounts and ensure that the financial policies and procedures are implemented.
• Manage month end (BS recs, bank recs etc), reporting, management accounts packs and report to overseas parent.
• Help improve efficiencies and reduce costs across the business and review all financial plans and budgets 
• Take responsibility for ensuring accurate and timely processing of all financial documents and information
• Cash handling and disbursement within the organisation
• Preparation of the statutory accounts, quarterly VAT returns and liaising with external auditors.
• Prepare and publish timely monthly/quarterly financial statements, both for local and Group consolidation requirements
• Oversee monthly payroll

Suitable applicants
 
ACCA/ACA/CIMA Qualified or equivalent and have the confidence to take the lead on finance for the UK.
Experience of using an ERP system is desirable
