Interim Group Financial Controller - Italian Speaking

Intro

Cedar is currently partnered with a regional, PE-Backed, SaaS Business to secure an Italian speaking Interim Group Financial Controller based in Southeast England (Remote). The role is a 3-6-month initial contract, paying a day rate between £700-800 per day.

The Role

As Interim Group Financial Controller, you will:

• Oversee the reorganization of the Finance function across multiple regions, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
• Manage monthly reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial data.
• Enhance and maintain consolidated accounting practices to provide comprehensive financial insights.
• Lead post M&A integration efforts for acquired subsidiaries, liaising with external partners and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with auditing firms during due diligence processes, providing necessary financial information and insights.
• Attend and present at monthly and quarterly board meetings, providing trading updates and key SaaS metrics to investors and lenders.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly loan covenants reporting decks, supporting refinancing and restructuring exercises.
• Oversee opening balance sheet, year-end, and audit processes, coordinating with external auditors and advisors.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS standards, managing complex accounting issues such as PPA, revenue recognition, and going concern considerations.
• Collaborate with executive team members, providing financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
• Liaise with external consulting firms to define and implement group transfer pricing policies.

Your Profile

You will have:

• Speak fluent Italian
• A formal accountancy qualification (e.g. ACA/CIMA/CA)·
• Experience within a similar group controls role
• Previous experience with IFRS reporting, liaising with external audits.
• Prior experience in an interim / contract role would be beneficial but not necessary.
• The rate of £700-800 per day represents a fair value, or logical increase on your previous salary or day rate.
