My client an arm’s length government organisation have an excellent role for an Interim HR advisor. This role will initially be for 3 months and is looking to pay £240 per day through an umbrella. The role is hybrid and requires the successful candidate to be in their Bedford office 2 days a week. They are looking for a sold HR advisor who has managed wide range of cases up to complex level.
The HR Advisor will play a critical supporting role to the Business Partners in driving operational performance, enabling workforce planning, leadership and talent management, succession planning and HR operational issues within the directorates which they partner.
This role will be focused on ensuring people management practices are of a high quality and support the aims and values of the service through providing professional HR advice and guidance to line managers. Advising on ensuring compliance on all employment related policies and procedures in line with legislation and best practice through advising and supporting line managers. To contribute to the HR team transactional delivery of HR processes including, document management, managing and maintaining accurate records, handling casework through to completion and acting as a point of escalation for the HR Business Partners.
Skills and Experience
• A proven track record of providing accurate and consistent HR Advice to managers.
• Being a trusted advisor, based on sound HR knowledge and experience of advising managers on HR/people matters.
• Clear, concise interpersonal skills using a range of media e.g. engaging presentations, facilitating group sessions, the ability to write reports and wider people communications
• Ability to exercise sound judgement, anticipate issues and use initiative to prioritise as well as create innovative solutions
• Attention to detail and accurate record keeping
• Must be CIPD accredited or studying towards CIPD accreditation.
• Experience of providing frontline operational advisory services to internal customers
• Working knowledge of employment law and good practice.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office packages e.g. Word, Excel.
• Experience of using HR systems, including ad hoc report writing and analysis.

• You will have a high degree of personal resilience and be a self-starter who is comfortable with exercising their judgment and working with ambiguity.
• Be comfortable working in the transactional space as well as the operational and strategic when required.
