Interim Payroll & Pensions Manager | 6 month FTC | Roehampton |Salary up to £65,000

I am supporting the client we are seeking an Interim Payroll and Pensions Manager to ensure the smooth and accurate processing of Payroll and pension-related matters.
 
Position Overview: The Interim Payroll and Pensions Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Payroll and pension administration. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a deep understanding of Payroll and pension regulations in the higher education sector. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring that our staff are paid accurately and on time, while also managing pension schemes effectively.
 
·Process monthly payroll accurately and efficiently for all university staff, including faculty, administrative staff, and support staff.
·Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and university policies related to payroll processing.
·Handle payroll queries and resolve any discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
·Collaborate with HR and finance teams to maintain accurate employee records and update payroll systems as needed.
·Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll legislation and best practices to ensure compliance and efficiency.
·Manage the administration of pension schemes for university staff, including enrollment, contributions, and record-keeping.
·Serve as the main point of contact for staff inquiries related to pensions, providing guidance and assistance as needed.
·Liaise with pension providers and external agencies to ensure accurate and timely processing of pension-related transactions.
·Monitor pension scheme performance and make recommendations for improvements or changes as necessary.
·Keep abreast of developments in pension regulations and communicate changes effectively to relevant stakeholders.

 


About you:
·Minimum 5 years experience processing in house payroll.
·CIPP (desirable).
·Experience with MHR iTrent.
·Management experience.
·Experience working in the Education sector where you managed the payroll process.
·Team player and excellent attention to detail.
