We're in search of a dynamic Procurement Specialist with a minimum of two years' experience in local government. The ideal candidate will adeptly navigate local government procurement intricacies, engage with politicians and senior officers, and contribute to drafting cabinet papers. Primarily, you will spearhead the re-procurement of Parking Enforcement and Associated Services, overseeing eight to 12 procurement lots via a mix of open and framework procurements over 12-15 months.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the re-procurement of Parking Enforcement and Associated Services
- Navigate local government procurement procedures and policies
- Collaborate effectively with politicians and senior officers
- Contribute to drafting cabinet papers related to procurement activities
- Manage diverse procurement lots through a blend of open framework approaches
- Ensure meticulous adherence to project timelines and deliverables
- Provide expertise in local government procurement categories
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in local governments
- Proven track record n successfully leading procurement processes
- Familiarity with open frameworks
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration
- Ability to work autonomously and remotely, with occasional office presence
- Previous experience in drafting cabinet papers is advantageous
This temporary role involves a rolling three-month contract for 12-15 months, offering a competitive daily rate of £400-£450 based on experience.
