This market leading and renowned FMCG brand, through sustained growth are looking to bring onboard an experienced food procurement expert to join them on a 6-month contract engagement.

This role is highly focussed towards innovative and specialist ingredients, with strong ties to R&D and NPD. If you can operate in a high performing and dynamic function and able to think and think outside the box when working on key projects, please apply. Key role responsibilities:

• Overall responsibility to deliver category management for dairy/related cross-functional spend areas
• Drive cost savings initiatives along with cash generation through inventory optimisation and payment terms - ideally looking to beat the market by 4%
• Unlock innovation potential through your strategic partners, specifically supporting R&D teams to support the lifecycle of NPD

Experience required:

• Demonstratable experience in a strategic procurement role, with experience of sourcing dairy or related spend areas
• Experience in supplier led innovation and able to strategically lead large suppliers
• Degree level education
• MBA / Masters is preferred however not essential
