Rate: £17.50 p/h - £21 p/h

Contract: 6-months

The Client:

Castlefield Recruitment are currently recruiting a Senior Buyer to join a Public Sector organisation in Manchester. The role will be a 6-month temporary contract and offers hybrid working options. You will cover a wide variety of category areas and have the support of a small team.

The Role:

• Responsible for end-to-end tenders both above and below threshold utilising frameworks where possible
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders
• Identify savings opportunities
• Negotiate with suppliers
• Provide procurement advice to other departments within the organisation
• Perform analysis and benchmarking exercises
• Deputise for manager when necessary

The Person:

• CIPS desirable
• Knowledge of Public Sector procurement processes
• Ability to work autonomously
• Immediately available
