Interim Service Manager – SEND

Looking for an experienced Service Manager for SEND who is able to contribute towards a fast paced improvement agenda. The Service Manager will work alongside the Statutory SEND Service Manager and will seek to support the development of the new Service restructure.
This assignment will be for a 5/6 month period whilst a new structure is developed. This role sets the ground work for a new post in the To-Be structure which is in the final stages of design.
- Working alongside the Head of Service for School Place Planning to ensure that the specialist needs of SEND children are understood and that there is a clear programme for resource base provision to meet the needs of the children;
- Working to support those SEND children WASP or awaiting specialist provision;
- Supporting the work of the Educational Psychology service with a particular focus on on the work of the SENCO Network and Inclusion Quality Mark launch;
- The development of the Educational Psychology traded offer and wider inclusion work;
- Oversight of the development of the new SEND QAF and supporting structures in place;
- Review and support of key business processes around HNB and SEND specialist placements, one version of the truth and associated processes.
- Working as Peer Support for SEND Statutory Manager.
- Support new structure development and workforce coaching.
- Significant management experience in SEND /Social Care
- Significant experience in SEND Statutory services from Team Manager to Service Manager
- Experience of working in an Early Help system for SEND e.g. Advice Line etc.
- Experience of working in an improvement environment for SEND
- Able to drive performance and meet statutory requirements
