Interm Bookkeeper

RM Recruit is working with a fantastic organisation near Warwick who are recruiting a Bookkeeper on an interim, ongoing basis. There is scope for this role to transition into a permanent opportunity. This role will see you carry out all day-to-day bookkeeping within the accounting system including payment of all expenses and preparing invoices amongst other duties.

Duties of the role will include, but not be limited to:

Maintaining an accurate record of financial transactions

• Updating and maintaining the general ledger
• Purchase Ledger including liaision with suppliers etc.
• Ensuring invoices and expenses are coded and verified
• Posting costs
• Sales Ledger including chasing bad debt
• Posting invoices
• Reconciliation of entries into the accounting system
• Ensuring Invoices and bills are paid within payment terms
• Maintaining the trial balance, by a reconciliation of general ledgers
• Account reconciliation to assert the accuracy of transactions
• Utilising knowledge of accountancy principles to comply with reporting requirements
• Monitor any variances from the projected budget
• VAT
• Balance sheet reconciliations

This is a hands-on role with a fantastic organisation who offer a host of benefits including up to 50% home working. The organisation is seeking a team player with proven experience in bookkeeping / Finance officer roles in charity or small business environments. The ideal candidate will be AAT qualified and be confident with supporting the Finance Manager in busy periods.
