Intermediate Mechanical Engineer, Dublin
We are looking to connect with Mechanical Engineers based in Dublin seeking a dynamic role in semiconductor, data centre facilities, and cutting-edge manufacturing projects. This role would be a permanent position offering hybrid working across a 40-hour work week.
As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll play a vital role in a multi-discipline team, contributing to technically challenging and rewarding projects. Your responsibilities will range from full system designs under supervision to coordinating with engineers and designers, and clients
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform engineering tasks for construction documents.
- Take charge of full system designs on large projects and smaller projects independently.
- Collaborate in real time with other disciplines for seamless designs.
- Ensure adherence to CAD/BIM standards and conduct quality reviews.
- Provide technical support and mentorship to colleagues.
- Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and field activities.
- Contribute to proposals, scopes, schedules, and budgets.
- Mentor project engineers and designers.
- Stay updated on industry trends and technology.
- Assist in continuous improvement of systems and procedures.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in building services/Mechanical Engineering.
- Industrial/commercial design experience.
- Semiconductor experience preferred.
- Experience in Mech/HVAC systems design.
- Knowledge of start-up and commissioning processes.
- Detail-oriented with excellent initiative.
- Computer literate (Microsoft Suite).
Essential Skills:
- Familiarity with Mech/HVAC design standards (UK/EU).
- Ability to collaborate with various engineering disciplines, clients, and vendors.
- Proficiency in a 3D BIM environment.
