About the team.

Internal Audit support the Retail, Financial Services and Irish businesses in achieving their objectives. We do this by providing risk-based assurance and insight to ensure the business has optimum controls to manage it’s key risks. As the 3rd line of defence in TVG’s governance structure we work closely with front-line business managers and our colleagues in 2nd line Risk and Compliance. To maintain our independence we report into TVG’s Audit Committees and are also part of the wider Finance community. 

About the role.

The role would be suitable for someone who is considering a career in Internal Audit or equally for someone who would like to gain valuable experience to support a career in Finance or the wider business. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • To provide assurance on business controls by delivering internal audits to the agreed, good practice methodology. 
  • To work with Management to agree on constructive and timely actions to enhance controls and track the implementation of Management Action Plans. 
  • Develop and maintain effective and continuous relationships with Management, helping to promote Risk Management and Control awareness across the Group. 
  • Keep up to date on external developments to help to provide insight and forward-looking reviews. 

About you.

  • To be successful in this role you will ideally be a qualified auditor or accountant (IIA/ACCA/ACA/CIMA) with recent and relevant Retail or Financial Services experience (desirable not essential). 
  • You will have strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation. You’ll possess a high level of integrity and are able to challenge upwards and cross-functionally whilst you welcome being challenged. 
  • Working within a high-profile function you will be resilient, highly flexible and self-motivated. You’ll be commercial in your outlook and able to see the impact from a variety of standpoints, offering pragmatic solutions.
