Job description

Are you an Internal Auditor looking to join a FTSE 100 Retail business, or a Qualified Accountant looking to make a first move out of practice? If so, then this is a great chance to join a FTSE 100 retailer as a Group Internal Auditor.
You will be part of a lean team, reporting to the Head of Internal Audit, which will make this an role with a great level of exposure to senior management as well as store staff and various teams from HR to Procurement to Sales to IT. This should be seen as an opportunity to develop your Internal Audit skills within all areas.
What you will be doing:

  • Internal Auditing at all stages of the process from scoping to fieldwork to reporting
  • Working with Senior Management team and liaising with them on various audit issues
  • Ensuring that prior agreed action points are being followed up accurately and in a timely manner
  • Producing reports to summarise audit findings, for review by the Head of Internal Audit, ahead of presentation to the board


What you will need:

  • Qualified Accountant moving straight from Practice, or an Internal Auditor in industry looking to join a FTSE 100
  • Experience working with stakeholders at varying levels
  • If already in Internal Audit, you should have experience at all stages of the process from scoping to fieldwork to reporting
  • If currently in Practice, you should have sound technical knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards, and experience with Internal Controls
