About the Role
The Internal Communication Channel Lead is responsible for coordinating creation and delivery of content through internal employee engagement communication channels - including intranet (SharePoint), social (Viva Engage) and events (in-person, virtual and hybrid) to engage 1400 employees working in multiple locations.
Responsible for development and evaluation of internal communication channels to ensure they are optimised to support the delivery of the Internal Communications strategy.
Partnering with stakeholders to provide insight and expertise within a culture of continuous improvement, the Internal Communication Channel Lead will embed best practice channel usage across OS.
The role will be central to the optimisation of the SharePoint platform, and progression of our digital channels to ensure that Internal Communications meets the future needs of OS.
This role will include:
- Coordinate the delivery of content across internal communication channels that reflects OS business priorities and corporate calendar and represents all parts of OS
- Ownership of the quarterly Internal Communications Analytics Dashboard and monthly Internal Communications Content Calendar
- Create and curate engaging, high quality content for all OS internal communication channels - spanning digital, print, and social media
- Build and manage SharePoint sites in line with industry best practice and user experience principles to drive employee engagement
- Provide internal stakeholders with advice that meets their Internal Communications needs, and partner with them on bespoke campaigns/projects to embed best practice across OS
What we're looking for
- Technical proficiency in internal digital channels including intranet and SharePoint tools, virtual/hybrid events and social collaboration.
- Experience of gathering and interpreting user analytics from digital channels, and presenting them in an accessible, visual format.
- Experience of providing SharePoint site owners with user training and support.
- Strong project management and organisational skills with the ability to manage several tasks simultaneously, delivering results under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal - and the ability to translate complex concepts into meaningful language.

- Salary: GBP34,476 - GBP40,560 (depending on experience)

Location
We embrace a hybrid working model at OS and understand there is no one size fits all in relation to how we work. We have a fantastic HQ in Southampton, Hampshire where you will be required to spend 2 days a week with the remaining time being a personal choice as to whether you work from home, one of our regional offices or spend more time at OSHQ.
