We are recruiting for an Internal Communications Executive for our Amersham office (hybrid working, 2-3 days in the office), to work closely with our Internal Communications Manager on our Internal Communications.
The Internal Communications Executive helps support the successful delivery of the organisation’s Internal Communications strategy. This role will report to the Internal Communications Manager; however, the role holder will work closely and collaboratively with all areas of the business, to implement and successfully deliver and design, implement and successfully distribute messages internally. You will play an important part in ensuring that the Internal Communications supports the broader communications vision of building pride and trust among colleagues.
Responsibilities
Responsible for coordinating with the Internal Communication Manager and key stakeholders to ensure the design, implementation and delivery of a range of accurate, timely and engaging Internal Communications, including:
- Provide comprehensive communication support for ongoing business initiatives within the firm, including but not limited to areas such as wellbeing and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).
- Offer guidance to internal clients on effective messaging and thematic communication, ensuring coherence, clarity, and impactful delivery.
- Take charge of copywriting, collation, and editing processes, ensuring that our communications align with our brand values and maintain consistently high standards.
- Assure the quality and uniformity of all communications, both online and offline, to uphold our brand identity.
- Drive a consistent and engaging communications programme across various channels, ensuring regular delivery.
- Manage and facilitate the delivery of internal presentations, focusing on both design and content, message coherence, and coordination.
- Cultivate strong working relationships throughout the firm, particularly with key stakeholders involved in strategic programs such as office relocations, employee benefits windows, etc.
- Raise awareness and facilitate knowledge-sharing among colleagues, contributing to the achievement of the firm’s business objectives.
- Contribute innovative ideas for compelling internal communication campaigns that captivate attention and engagement.
- Undertake any other reasonable tasks as directed from time to time.
- Support, implement, and uphold Information Security procedures and activities in alignment with Barnett Waddingham’s Information Security Policy.

Experience/Qualifications
- Ideally you will have a Degree in Marketing, Journalism, English, Communications or similar.
- Ideally you will have around 3+ years in a communications role
- Demonstrable proficiency in effective communication, project-level planning, and execution.
- Self-motivated and proactive with excellent organisational skills, capable of collaborating effectively across all levels of the organisation.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows-based applications.
- A confident and adaptable communicator across various channels, with a proactive attitude toward change and a keen eye for identifying and implementing improvements.
- Upholds professionalism, discretion, and maintains confidentiality as paramount attributes.
- Experience working in a professional services environment would be advantageous.

- Create and curate content tailored for our internal channels that reflects our company's story and primary goals.
- Manage and improve our internal media platforms and the Newsletter to enhance their functionality.
- Collaborate closely with different teams to ensure consistent delivery of our company's narrative and key business priorities.
- Actively gather, assess, and respond to feedback from colleagues and partners to continually enhance our communication channels.
