International Management Accountant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled Interim Management Accountant for a 3-6 month contract with an international focus. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of financial reporting and compliance for our client's international operations, including USA, Canada, Australia, The Netherlands and future expansions.

This role offers the chance to work closely with an international operations team, liaise with advisors across the globe, and play a key part in setting up company structures and ensuring local tax compliance. The opportunity is based in Northamptonshire but offers a hybrid working model.

As a Management Accountant - International, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial landscape of our client's global operations. You will be at the forefront of new international expansions, working closely with teams across different regions to establish company structures that comply with local tax laws. Your expertise in financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting will be crucial in preparing month-end financial statements and conducting variance analysis. Your meticulous attention to detail will shine through as you manage balance sheet reconciliations and liaise with other finance professionals within the organisation. With your keen eye for process improvement, you will continuously review existing procedures to deliver insightful information efficiently.

• Liaise closely with the international operations team in relation to all new international expansions
• Be responsible for the set up of an appropriate company structure and ensuring local tax compliance
• Liaise with international advisors and provide information to ensure compliance with local audit and statutory filing requirements
• Prepare the month-end financial statements for all international locations
• Responsible for all balance sheet reconciliations for monthly review by the finance manager
• Liaise closely with the UK Management Accountant to ensure balance of the intercompany matrix
• Complete the 13-week cash flow forecast for all international locations focusing on international currency requirements across the group
• Review processes continuously to ensure efficient and effective delivery of insightful information to all stakeholders
• Develop and implement strategic financial plans for international expansions

The ideal candidate for the Interim Management Accountant - International role is an ACCA / CIMA finalist or qualified accountant with at least 2 years of experience in a similar role. You will bring strong knowledge and skills using Google Sheets/Docs or equivalent, coupled with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Your expertise in financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting will be matched by your in-depth knowledge of international accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP). Familiarity with global tax laws and regulations is essential, as is the ability to analyse complex financial data and generate insightful reports. A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.

• ACCA / CIMA finalist or qualified accountant
• 2+ years experience working in a similar role with specific focus on international accounting experience
• Strong knowledge and skills using Google Sheets / Docs or equivalent
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and an eye for detail
• Expertise in financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting
• In-depth knowledge of international accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP)
• Familiarity with global tax laws and regulations
• Ability to analyse complex financial data and generate insightful reports
• Proficiency in identifying trends, anomalies, and financial risks
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
