IQA/ Training Compliance Officer

IQA who will be responsible for ensuring the quality of qualifications and assessments within a learning environment. This includes monitoring processes, providing feedback and guidance to Trainers/assessors and other staff, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct internal quality assurance of assessment processes and practices to ensure compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and organisational policies
- Review assessment materials, including question papers, marking criteria, and assessment plans, to ensure accuracy, validity, and reliability
- Monitor the assessment process and ensure that assessors are following appropriate procedures and guidelines
- Provide guidance and support to assessors, offering feedback on their assessment practice and helping them improve their performance
- Conduct sampling and moderation of assessment decisions to ensure consistency and fairness
- Maintain accurate records of quality assurance activities, including sampling and moderation results, feedback provided, and actions taken
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team and other stakeholders to develop and implement improvement plans based on identified areas of concern or best practices
- Stay up to date with changes in assessment regulations, standards, and best practices, and ensure that these are effectively communicated to assessors and implemented within the organisation
- Participate in internal and external audits to demonstrate compliance with quality assurance requirements
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of assessment processes and practices within the organisation
- Management of Internal and External Training Matrices.
Job Skills / Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum Level 4 qualification in Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment process and practice (RQF) or equivalent
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbal
- Exception attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Knowledge and understanding of assessment regulations, standards, and best practices
- Ability to critically review assessment materials and identify areas for improvement
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide constructive feedback and support to assessors
- Proficient in using computer applications and software related to quality assurance activities
- Highly organised and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
- Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical standards in assessment practices
- Knowledge of Word/Excel highly desirable
- Knowledge Background in NSAR Construction / Network Rail / London Underground background would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of Sentinel Portal, CITB, PASMA, City and Guilds, NPORS, EUSR
