Role Description:
As an Adult Support Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to provide compassionate care and assistance to adults in need. You will be a vital link between individuals and the support services available to them, offering emotional support throughout their daily activities. Your role will involve
Demonstrating empathy and actively listening to the concerns and needs of the individuals you support.
Providing practical support with day-to-day tasks, such as grocery shopping, running errands, and accompanying individuals to important appointments.
Collaborating with other professionals, including social workers and healthcare providers, to ensure comprehensive support is provided.
Promoting independence by encouraging individuals to participate in community activities and access local resources.
Maintaining accurate records and documentation as required.
Requirements:
To excel in this role, we are seeking candidates who meet the following criteria:
Female car driver with a valid driver's license
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect and empathise with a diverse range of individuals.
Strong organisational and time management abilities to ensure timely and efficient transportation services.
Patience, compassion, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact in the lives of others.
Flexibility to work on a rotational shift basis, including weekends and occasional evenings.
Respect for confidentiality and the ability to maintain professional boundaries.
