Pay Range
$76,080 - $108,564 Annually
$76,080 - $94,440 Annually for the A07.1 level
$87,450 - $108,564 Annually for the A07.2 level
Please note that the pay range information is a general guideline only. Many factors are taken into consideration when setting starting pay including education, experience, the external labor market, and internal equity.
Job Description
We have an opening for aniSRD Service Operations Specialistto provide support to our IT iSRD Field Support team. You will be an integral member of a highly dynamic team and will respond to internal and external customers, apply general knowledge of policies, procedures, and practices to develop, improve, and implement work activities. This position is within the Strategic Deterrence (SD) Directorate.
This position will be filled at either the A07.1 or A07.2 level based on knowledge and related experience as assessed by the hiring team. Additional job responsibilities (outlined below) will be assigned if you are selected at the higher level.
In this role, you will

  • Provide support to the IT iSRD Field Support team and other members of SD IT.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies related to the iSRD Field Support operations.
  • Perform handling of sensitive assets but not limited to classified materials and parts (all levels). Ensure sensitive/high risk assets are secured and/or handled within defined standards. Monitor inventory levels of supplies, equipment, and materials; conduct regular audits to reconcile inventory records with physical stock.
  • Implement and maintain a comprehensive asset tracking system. Assign unique identifiers to assets and update records with relevant information. Conduct regular audits to track the location and status of assets.
  • Prepare documentation and paperwork for excess inventory or assets, coordinate with relevant departments for the disposal or transfer of excess items. Monitor adherence to policies and regulations during the excess process.
  • Manage ServiceNow queue to prioritize and assign tasks efficiently.
  • Manage Lifecycles Dashboard and New Deployments; backfills and procurement processes. Coordinate the retirement and disposal of End-of-life hardware in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Generate reports and dashboards to communicate performance metrics; analyze data trends to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Recognize and support plans to promote and foster a culture of inclusion, diversity, equity, and accountability within the workplace.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional job responsibilities, at the A07.2 level

 

 

  • Assess requirements and deliverables and implement new processes and procedures to streamline workflows and enhance service delivery.
  • Monitor performance metrics, analyzing data trends and report findings; collaborate with management on solutions and initiate corrective actions.

Qualifications

 

 

  • This position requires an active Department of Energy (DOE) Q-level clearance or active Top-Secret clearance issued by another U.S. government agency at the time of hire.
  • Experience coordinating administrative and operational work activities and experience researching, interpreting, and applying related policies and procedures.
  • Experience interfacing with personnel at multiple levels of an organization and communicating technical information to users.
  • Experience effectively applying good judgment, discretion, and problem-solving skills to identify solutions and resolve issues.
  • Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team in a technical support environment, collaborating with others, and recommending process improvements.
  • Effective customer service, time management, communication, and interpersonal skills necessary to respond to customer needs, requests, and issues, and to maintain effective working relationships.
  • Advanced knowledge of personal computers and associated software including MS Office, with the ability to learn new software applications.

Additional qualifications at the A07.2 level

 

 

  • Experience coordinating multiple work activities, workflow, and multi-faceted processes with competing deadlines.
  • xperience leading small to medium scale projects, including full planning activities and management of assignments among team members.
  • Demonstrated experience developing complex reports for use in management decision making, and a deep understanding of ServiceNow or other digital workflow platforms.
