IT Administrator – Moira – Permanent – c£Negotiable per annum. Travel Required
REED Technology are delighted to partner with a fantastic manufacturing organisation, who due to continued growth and expansion are seeking an IT Administrator to join their fantastic organisation.
Responsibilities:
• Underpin and contribute to L1 & L2 support functions
• Drive effective use of the ServiceDesk and work on behalf of our users to ensure issues & requests are handled in a timely manner.
• Assist in the standardisation of Processes and Administration across the sites IT functions.
• Participate effectively in project teams at a site level where IT resource is required
• Contribute to the Maintenance of Documentation - SOP's, BCP, DR
• Ensure that Security practices & standards are maintained and adhered to, include those surrounding Data & Physical/Perimeter solutions.
• Provide Systems & Application Support, through the maintenance of Knowledgebase material (OneNote), relevant vendor or external training and upgrades.
• Identify where Systems & Processes can be automated and propose solutions to improve or remove low value activities.
• Assist in the development of the IT Strategy and its delivery.
• Provide support for internal users that cannot be resolved by the Global Service Desk.
• Setup and support of IT equipment such as printers, scanners, phones & other peripherals.
• Maintain & troubleshoot Windows desktops, Windows HMIs, laptops & Apple iPhones.
• Liaise with vendors for IT hardware purchasing & support.
• Administer on-prem Clients and servers running VMware Virtualization.
• Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults in a logical and strategic manner
• Carry out IT (Office Environment) & OT (Factory Environment) infrastructure maintenance
• Support of wireless networks across the site.
• Support of a production label printers
• Participation in Fiscal administration, including the development of Capex/Opex budgets and project-based commercials.
• Ensure awareness of Risk Management processes are embedded in BAU activities
• Support local sites as part of an escalation process or period of complex change.
Experience Requirements:
• Relevant IT based qualification or a minimum of 1 years’ experience in a related technical field.
• Demonstratable experience within technical systems support, typically 3 years but minimum of 1yr should be within FMCG or experience in a related technical/ Systems administration field is to be expected,
• Good working knowledge of historical and current Microsoft Operating Systems (Server and Client)
• Active Directory Maintenance
• Good working knowledge of major networking components, network operating systems and Server /Infrastructure hardware components
• Experience with architectural/technologies such as Client deployment/Imaging technology, Server / storage hardware, VMWare or alternative Hypervisor, LAN/WAN technologies, TCP/IP
• Experience in support role/servicedesk, ideally within an internal client focused organisation.
• Hands on knowledge of the procedures used in the installation, modification maintenance and repair of IT hardware and software
