Are you ready to lead and innovate in the dynamic world of IT applications? Wates Property Services is expanding, and we are seeking an experienced IT Applications Manager to steer our application estate and associated team, based in either our Finsbury Park or Birmingham regional office.
Key Responsibilities of the IT Applications Manager include:
- Lead and develop the applications team, driving service improvement projects.
- Monitor support levels and ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements and KPIs.
- Manage risks, issues, and service delivery performance to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure software licensing compliance across the Construction Group IT estate.
About You:
You are an experienced IT Application Manager with a proven track record in service delivery and management. Your expertise includes budgetary responsibility, ITIL qualifications, SLA definition and monitoring, and customer relationship management. You possess strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills, coupled with analytical and problem-solving abilities.

As a key member of our team, you will provide ongoing support for specified applications, collaborating with Wates IT teams, software providers, and business stakeholders to ensure applications are secure, maintained, and aligned with business needs. You will lead service management, people management, applications support, maintenance, enhancements/changes, and documentation efforts to drive efficiency, compliance, and innovation.
Additional Accountabilities Will Include:
- Managing services, monitoring effectiveness, and producing relevant reports.
- Setting responsibilities and goals, mentoring team members, and conducting reviews.
- Acting as the primary point of contact for specified applications and ensuring timely support.
- Maintaining application security, compliance, and documentation.
- Supporting analysis for change requests and delivering BAU and project-driven changes.
