Overview of Role:
Theravada Solutions, a digital and technology specialist in the retail and hospitality sector, is seeking an Apprentice. The successful candidate will be mentored by one of our Senior Engineers, who is based in Sheffield. The role is field based and would require working away from home fairly frequently.
Key Responsibilities
•Onsite installation of network equipment, POS, CCTV and Digital Signage.
•Assemble, configure and install hardware (POS registers, servers, back office desktops, in-store kiosks and mobile devices).
•Management of stock and equipment.
•Support for weekly project status reports and completion documentation to customers based on scope of work.
•Adhere to housekeeping/health and safety standards to ensure a safe working environment is maintained.
Person Specification
•Confident and professional manner, excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Achieved a C level or above in GCSE Maths, English and Science.
•Positive attitude with a 'can do’ approach.
•Ability to remain calm in a fast paced and pressured environment.
•Reliable, good work ethic and willingness to learn.
•Computer literate with a good knowledge of current IT trends.
•Must possess a full UK driving licence and own transport.
•Flexibility in working hours and locations.
The successful candidate should have a keen interest in a career in IT Field Engineering and have attained a good all-round standard of education.
Ultimately the role will result in the candidate becoming an established Field Service Engineer with a company van.
Working week: 4 days – 9:00 am to 5:30 pm with 1 hour for lunch
1 day - college
Delivery to be completed on site and off the job training either at Barnsley College or your place of work. Student to complete an ICT Support Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship.
